Ever since I started working in Manila, I haven't been able to go home to Baguio very often. So, during my longest Christmas vacation so far (which was last year), I took the opportunity to visit some places I have seen while I was growing up in the noteworthy Summer Capital of the Philippines.
One of such places is what my mother used to refer to as the Imelda Park during my childhood years. It is actually the same as the Botanical Garden and as I've just learned, it was even earlier known as Baguio Botanical & Zoological Garden.
It is a Botanical Garden, I agree. But a Zoological Garden? Not so. The only animal I have encountered in this garden was this snake crawling its way through a canal.
I was busy walking around the park...
And hugging a tree...
And another tree (hey, Mr. Gardener, are you laughing at me? :'p)
When my mom saw a sign which says: "TaeBaek City Park" so I rushed to find out what the "tae" was all about, and of course, have my picture taken there as well (Yes, my head won't fit, thank you very much for noticing).
A park inside a garden. :') Cool!!! Or is it the new name of Botanical Garden? Hmm...
